三次视角转换，稳扎稳打，多场戏调度不俗，影片过半高仓健才出现。探案不是重点，至少推理部分处理得比较蹩脚，前两个小时的大背景小人物场景叙事酣畅淋漓，后一个小时却聚焦案情反而给拍薄了，给人原地踏步之感。在观众早已知晓真相情况下，仍不遗余力地表现警方的探案细节和证据推敲，未免过于拖沓。而且最关键的证据其实是那个指甲，但我没理解这个指甲能如何定罪，怎么确定指甲就是犬饲的呢，那时候又没有DNA鉴定，所以我想是否终归还是靠犬饲自己情感崩溃而招供的。这种细节真的很让人在意，感觉警方调查大多是无用的，不如不要弄得这么详细，直接打严谨的感情牌也一样很工整。犬饲和八重的床戏及其前后两场戏绝对是全片亮点，配上佛经似的充满庄严感的bgm（结尾犬饲跳海用的也是这个），表现两个可怜人抱团取暖的悲怆
