黑泽清能把一个独到又很抽象虚无的概念扎实地落实到视听语言。窗外光源过曝，室内又没有主光，布景带有着严谨而静默的陈旧，外景滤镜下的“荒岛”营造出强烈的末世感，他将心理孤独通过视觉制造的生理孤独输出给观众。但是故事实际很空壳，繁复中让人觉得过于卖弄了。
