厌倦了世俗的成年人，需要找到能让自己兴奋起来的事情，作为继续生活的动力。讲故事，看到人们信以为真的惊讶表情，就是一件非常有趣的事。幕乔森男爵和他的仆人们：吹气神、大力士、顺风耳、神枪手、千里眼，一起打败敌人拯救百姓。 契丹王宫里的布景色调赏心悦目，满屏幕的赘肉挺讽刺。月球之旅里，疯子国王的头（思想）厌恶自己龌龊肮脏的身体（生理欲望），美丽善良的皇后留下身体和国王欢愉，脑袋偷溜去救情人幕乔森。还有大鱼肚里和死神打牌，自己提着辫子拉自己出水面。想象力堪比梅里爱，实现效果很魔幻。 在技术有限的年代，纯用服化道实现想象，撑起奇幻场面，透着电影人饱满的干劲和创造力。 用衣物自制热气球逃跑，翻转水面到另一个世界，后面分别被用在《气球》和《加勒比海盗》里。
